Appointment requirements:

An appropriate three (3) year tertiary career-related (Degree or National Diploma) in Internal Audit or equivalent qualification
At least three (3) years relevant experience in an Internal Auditing environment
Internal Audit Technician (IAT) Learnership certificate or studying towards Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) will be an added advantage.
Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
Valid Code B drivers licence
Computer literate

Conduct a preliminary survey to obtain update background information about the activities under review
To conduct a walk-trough to become familiar with the activities, risks and controls to identify areas for engagement emphasis
Document the system description and process flowcharts based on the interview conducted the client
Conduct an assessment of the process under review to identify risks/events that can prevent the business unit from achieving its operational objective
Prepare the audit program based on the results of the adequacy assessment conducted during the audit planning
Execute audit procedures and prepare audit working papers to document the audit results of the audit procedure
Collect and document supporting evidence to support the results of the audit work executed
Cross reference working papers in line with the approved index
Draft results of the audit working papers on the reportable issues that were identified during the audit fieldwork
Conduct audit follow-up to determine whether management has taken action or implement the recommendation
