Metropolitan Health invites unemployed graduates, including Persons with Disabilities, to apply for Internship opportunities. The Internship programme is for 12 months and provides interns with practical work experience within the Metropolitan Health business. Successful completion of the programme may lead to permanent employment.
Requirements
- Be South African citizens
- Computer literate (MS Office)
- Must not be studying full-time
- Between the ages of 18 and 35 years
- Able to commute to the workplace on their own
- Must not have been employed as an intern previously
- Unemployed and can commit 12 months to the programme
- Completed diploma/degree in the relevant field or requiring experiential learning
Qualifications
The Internship seeks graduates with degrees / 3 year diplomas in the in the following areas:
- Clinical / Medical – Diplomas / Degrees (CPT)
- Accounting / Finance / Auditing – Degrees (CPT)
- Information Technology – Diplomas and degrees (CPT)
- Human Resources Management / Development – Degrees (CPT; DUR and PTA)
Responsibilities
- Acquiring the relevant practical experience
- Acquiring knowledge of company products
- Completing logbooks for workplace based learning
- Showing understanding of the operational processes
- Demonstrating skills in using the company’s systems
- Displaying a willingness to learn corporate values and technicalities
- Demonstrating commitment to working in the medical scheme industry
- Completing the internship programme and attending all identified courses
