Job Title:  Nursing Sister 

The Registered Nurse will provide holistic nursing services and care to women who are intellectually disabled.

Working hours: 07h30 to16h00

Requirements:

• Registered with the SANC
• Have a valid code 08 driver’s license
• Must be healthy
• Knowledge of packing/administration of medication
• Contactable references
• In a position and willing to be on standby/on call when required.

Responsibilities:

• Packing of medicine
• Day to day attention to minor ailments/primary health care of beneficiaries
• Contact hospitals and pharmacies relating to appointments and medicine
• Record keeping
• Follow doctor’s instructions
• Contact family members and provide feedback when required
• Handle emergencies, e.g. seizures, falls, etc.
• Packing of medicine
