Investec Property Risk is looking for an individual with a passion for property to join its team in Sandton.
The individual will be responsible for the overall evaluation, and management of property-related risks, as they relate to residential and commercial property. The below-mentioned duties and responsibilities encompass the Property Risk role in its entirety. However, the expectation is that the Junior Property Risk Analyst will grow into the role.

Investec is an international specialist banking and asset management group. It provides a range of financial products and services to a client base in three principal markets: the United Kingdom, South Africa and Australia.
Duties & Responsibilities
Residential
  • Approvals of and quality control of residential valuations
  • Preparation of residential building bond calculations
  • Review and approvals of residential building bond conditions
  • Preparation and analysis of ad hoc market research reports
  • Review and approvals of collateral releases and requests for bondholders’ consents
Commercial (includes retail, offices, multi-unit residential, industrial)
  • Approvals of and quality control of commercial valuations
  • Preparation of commercial building bond calculations
  • Review and approvals of commercial building bond conditions
  • Pre-sale and pre-let audits of commercial developments
  • Preparation of pre-credit Property Forum packs and minutes
  • Preparation of the commercial development bond schedules
  • Preparation and analysis of ad hoc market research reports
  • Review and analysis of the tenant schedules relating to pre-credit desktop and approved commercial valuations
  • Review and approvals of collateral releases and requests for bondholders’ consents
Minimum requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (Property Studies)
  • National Diploma in Real Estate
  • Current part-time study toward a property-related qualification
Preferred / Advantageous Skills
  • Understanding of Risk Management as it relates to property as collateral security
  • Knowledge and understanding of all building regulatory and legal requirements
  • Strong Excel skills
