Junior Safety Officer Job Opportunity

Job Description

• Assist in day to day management of site safety issues
• Responsible for developing and implementing health & safety programmes on a project in collaboration with site management, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the Safety Officer with the management of safety on site
• Incident investigation
• Administration of safety system requirements and files.
• Advises Site / Project Manager on all material, equipment and safety-related matters.
• Conduct site inspections for compliance to Project, Client and Legal Requirements.

Skills, Experience & Education

• SAMTRAC / RISKMAQ / SHEMTRAC / NEBOSH IGC or ICC
• HIRA
• Incident investigation/RCAT
• IRCON
• Diploma in Safety Management. (as an Advantage)
• 2 – 3 years’ experience as a junior / Safety Officer in the Construction Industry.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation
• SACPCMP Registration Status: Provisional Registration / Registered. (Non-negotiable)
