It aims to identify the systemic challenges in the society and to overcome fragmentation of policy, systems and delivery through innovative new interventions and partnerships.

Khulisa Streetscapes provides chronic homeless individuals with concurrent substance misuse and or mental health problems a rehabilitation opportunity through a dedicated work programme combined with psychosocial support focussed on a harm reduction model. Streetsacpes has a Safe House in Kuilsriver for clean living, work and rehablitation for our beneficiaries.

Job Title: Social Worker
Location: Kuilsriver
Remuneration: R15 000

Reqiurements:

• Bachelor of Social Science in Social Work
• A minimum of 3 year’s related experience
• Current registration with SACSSP
• Have knowledge of Motivational Interviewing approach, specifically aimed at harm reduction
• Unendorsed driver’s license
• Must be computer literate
• Fluent in at least two official languages (English & Afrikaans)
• Must reside within close proximity to Kuilsriver, Sarepta

Responsibilities:

• Provide holistic psychosocial assessment of beneficiaries
• Provide in- house counselling support to beneficiaries
• Perform crisis interventions when necessary
• Compile and submit reports e.g. Psycho Social Assessments, statistics, Performance Development Plan (PDP)
• Attend meetings and networking
• Perform other duties, as and when so requested, in support of team goals
• Manage coaches on site
• Report to senior social worker on a regular basis
