Job Opportunity: Project Coordinator
Job Location: KwaZulu-Natal.
Report to: The Director
The salary for this position is competitive
Responsibilities:
- Develop project implementation protocols aligned to the organisational strategy and business plan
- Overall project design, implementation and evaluation
- Ensure project quality, monitoring and evaluation and risk management
- Manage KZNPPHC project implementation activities
- Conduct routine support visits to ensure effective service implementation
- Develop project improvement plans and roll-out interventions to promote continued service integration, quality and effectiveness
- Compile monthly and quarterly narrative reports including data contextual analysis
- Establish and maintain partner and relevant Government Department relationships
- Coordinate stakeholder and donor visits
- Represent KZNPPHC in meetings and with stakeholders
Requirements:
- A relevant degree in Social Sciences or related field
- Minimum of three to four years’ project management experience
- Minimum of three to five years’ health related experience of which three must be coordination of community based projects
- A track record of managing multiple projects to completion and working with key stakeholders
- Experience in learning and development for youth
- Computer skills (Full MS package)
- Valid driver’s license
- Broad knowledge of NGO Sector, and experience in working with Community Structures
- Understanding of the functioning of health care systems in South Africa e.g. DHS, PHC
- Management, Leadership, Interpersonal and excellent communication skills
- Marketing, Fundraising and Project Management abilities
- Experience building and maintaining relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage project tasks in line with set milestones
- Applied knowledge of Project Monitoring and Evaluation
- Ability to work in a pressurised environment
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to effectively engage participants from different cultures and backgrounds
