KZN Growth Fund is a private equity and private debt Fund based in Durban reporting to the KZN Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA). The Fund seeks to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified Investment Analyst.

The ideal candidate will work autonomously and support the investment team in financial modelling and analysis, conducting due diligences on prospective investments, assisting in preparing investment proposals and post-investment management. In a value accretive way, the incumbent is expected to assist in presenting findings on investments together with remedial actions to both the investee companies’ management and the KGFT.

Job Summary:
Key performance areas:
•Financial analysis and modelling;
•Preparation of investment memoranda for internal and external use;
•Conducting financial and other business-related research;
•Conducting due diligences on prospective investments;
•Assistance in the execution of transactions and
•Post investment management and reporting.

Requirements:
The following minimum requirements must be met in order to be considered for this position:
•Bachelor’s degree;
•Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role;
•Outstanding qualitative and analytical skills;
•Strong verbal and written communication skills;
•Proficiency in Excel a must;
•Robust organizational and time management skills;
•Strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure and
•Basic knowledge of accounting and corporate finance.
