A vacancy exists for a Mid-Weight Multimedia Designer within the Micro Merchant Division – Marketing – Design, in Century City, Cape Town.

The Mid-Weight Multimedia Designer will be responsible for crafting show-stopping social media designs, designing mind-blowing animations, designing for print for our in-market media and building interactive experiences that will leave people saying, “Whoa, how’d they do that?”

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Collaborate with the Lead Designer on various marketing design projects, including print materials, digital assets, and social media content.
• Experience working with printed media.
• Develop creative and visually appealing design solutions that align with brand guidelines and project objectives.
• Maintain a strong understanding of design trends and best practices.
• Work independently and manage multiple projects as assigned.
• Assist with shoot execution when necessary.
• A proactive approach to enhance the brand through design.
• Raising hand when a cool idea comes up.
• Good understanding of our competitors.
• Strong collaboration across different teams.
• Help mentor and grow junior designers.

In order to be considered for this position, the following requirements must be met:

• 3-5 years of experience in graphic design or a related field.
• Strong portfolio showcasing design skills and ability to translate concepts into visuals. *Only applications with portfolios will be considered.
• Experience with design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma etc).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Motion design experience will be advantageous
