Job Summary:
Participates in defining the overall strategy and vision for payroll function to improve automation while ensuring accurate, timely, secured, and compliant payroll processing.
Oversees all facets of daily time keeping and payroll operations, ensuring compliance with corporate as well as relevant laws, policies and regulations
Participates in creating and oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of payroll processes, policies, and objectives with a focus on short- and long-term planning
Develops strong client and stakeholder relationships and implement effective communication programs to transform payroll support model
Establishes and maintains exceptional business relationships with other corporate teams including HR, Legal, Tax, Treasury, Finance, Audit, Compliance and IT
Implements payroll governance, internal controls and process documentation while striving for increased efficiency and effectiveness
Provides subject matter expertise to support system integration and configuration requirements
Plans and coordinates the production and distribution of all employee tax statements and notifications
Attends to audit payroll procedures to include earnings, garnishments, tax withholding, and absence processing globally and ensure compliance with organizational procedures and internal controls

Requirements:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or related field
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role in an organisation with +/-1000 employees.
Financial Services experience is advantageous.
Deep knowledge of payroll and payroll tax laws, regulations, principles and procedures
Knowledge of how payroll function to maximize automation, scalability and cost effectiveness
Working knowledge of technology-based enhancements and new ERP payroll solutions
Proven ability to think and act strategically, analytically and with operational and control discipline
Exceptional communication skills with ability
Attention to detail and strong technical skills
Ability to Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality
