To provide efficient HSE support, to ensure that the employer adheres to the provisions of the Occupational, Health and Safety Act and relevant regulations.
Support departments and clients in the interpretation, training and application of the various safety instructions / standards, and regular monitoring to ensure compliance.

Job Summary:
Maintain and review LT SHE Management System – review action plans and update index; check reference documentation; open volumes for the SHE Management system; file documents and correspondence; populate SHE Documents and Data information sheets; check that legal appointments letters and functional appointments letters are signed. Follow-up on monthly reports – SHE Inspections checklist, First Aiders and Fire Fighters
Contractor Management:
Audit contractors as per Construction audit sheet
E-save Monthly Internal Audits for the contractors and update audit score sheet with non-conformance register. Follow-up on the Non-Conformance reports to non-compliant contractors
Compile internal LTSA Health and Safety files for customers
Ensure that operational teams are equipped with a safety file
Order and issue of PPE
Occupational Health & Safety:
Incident, emergency, training, preparedness
Coordinate investigations and inform investigation team
Record keeping – incident register for assets and a register for injuries
Ensure preventive, periodic and emergency maintenance of fire protection equipment and alarm systems
Assist with the maintenance of fire equipment Fire equipment registers
Assist with electrical, HVAC, water, illumination registers etc.
Update organograms (first-aid and emergency teams) to ensure adherence to the company’s emergency plans and evacuation procedures.
Environmental Management:
Ensure compliance to ISO14001 standards
Assist with Environmental awareness training
Ensure contractors dispose of waste in the correct manner
Non-conformance reports escalated to management
Wellness:
Assist with the implementation of Wellness programs. Monitor absenteeism and recommend mitigation measures
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Implementation OSHAS 18001 and ISO 14001 Qualification, Incident Investigator and Risk Assessor Training and SAMTRAC essential
Experience:
2-3 years’ Safety, Health and Environmental Management System experience
Occupational, Health, Safety and Environment knowledge. Understanding the Acts and regulations application to SA and the industry
Must be able travel between EL/PE and the surrounding areas
