LOGISTIC SUPPORT OFFICER REF NO: LSO/AVH/2/15
SALARY : R183 438 –R216 084 per annum plus benefits
CENTRE : Andries Vosloo Hospital (Somerset East)
REQUIREMENTS : Grade 12 with 5 – 7 years relevant experience or National Diploma/ B Degree
with 2 – 4 years relevant experience. Ability to collate and collect data.
Demonstrate ability to guide policy implementation processes. Ability to resolve
Logistical conflicts. Ability to work under pressure. Computer literacy. Valid
driver’s licence.
DUTIES : To manage logistics material. Manage stores administration in the institution.
Ensure that all materials are available. Control procurement services. Check
that all the procurement documents are in order. Verify the orders of people
when they want to procure. Monitor the implementation of stores procedures.
Ensuring all the stock is available. Check that the stock is dispatched in a correct
manner. Monitor inventory levels. Ensuring that stock taking is done every
month. Ensure that records of stock purchased/ orders are kept in a safe place.
Ensuring that stock levels are maintained. Making sure that the stock is still in
good quality. Ensuring that there is no breakage of stock in the storage. Ensure
that the procurement process is in line with the guideline of procuring. Ensure
compliance of PFMA and Treasury Regulations. Supervise human and physical
resources. Coach and mentor subordinates. Compile job profiles. Develop work
plans. Conduct performance reviews. Identify training needs.
