Maersk Recruits Auto and Reefer Operations Co-ordinator

A temporary vacancy exists in our Operations Department in Durban for a period of one year. The purpose of the role is to provide operational and technical to the Auto and Reefer customers in the Port of Durban as well as provide general operational back up during the refurbishment of Berth 108.

Key Responsibilities

Principal Accountabilities 
1.Develop and execute proactive contingency plans for Toyota when delays occur in ocean freight services and vessel arrivals
2.Work with Toyota South Africa staff after hours to deliver the required service as required
3.Work with Toyota Key Client Manager in South AFrica
4.Ensure Navis updates for after hours work is correct and timeous
5.Provide regular status updates as required
6.Review priority discharges and action accordingly
7.Meet with Toyota Logistics Team as required
8.Assist with shipments; Controlled Atmosphere and Cold Treatment during Citrus Season
9.Visit the port and the packhouses as required
10.Monitor competitors Technical activity in the region
