MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To Be Accountable For The Development And Alignment Of The Ab Marketing Strategy To The Business Strategy And Scorecards, Enabling Product Profitability, Market Growth, And Customer Satisfaction – Receiving And Evaluating Product Ideas. Coordinate Activities With Direct Channels To Meet The Groups Targets.

MINIMUM EDUCATION
Diploma In Marketing (Imm) Or Related Undergraduate Degree In Behavioural Sciences

KEY SKILLS / RESPONSIBILITIES

DELIVER THE MARKETING STRATEGY IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE HEAD OF MARKETING
Responsible for delivering the marketing strategy, contribute to Business Strategy and channel targets. Develop product plans and align to business. Expand our product offering to appropriate channels and input to revise product features. Ensure all activities are monitored and evaluated so as to account for ROI. Contribute to the overall Customer management strategy.

DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT MARKETING AND PROMOTIONAL PLANS
Develop, oversee and evaluate implementation of marketing and promotional plans in budget. Accountability for supporting sales of the AB products to achieve volumetric, value, profitability and share targets.( Demand Creation)
Implementation of tactics, test/learn activities and measurement / effectiveness thereof (ROMI)
Effective and efficient management of all brand expenditure and activities. Close liaison with Sales operations re implementation of strategies and plans at the point of purchase. Close liaison with Customer Service to ensure effective delivery across the portfolio and developing the service channel.
Close liaison with Client Value Management teams to effectively interpret and react to ongoing market dynamics by understanding customer insights. Ensure activities met legal and compliance requirements. Ensure all customer communication is in line with Brand and Client value management strategy.

PROVIDE CHANNEL MARKETING SOLUTIONS
National responsibility for Channel Marketing. Brief, guide and sign-off channel marketing and communication affecting the product and marketing strategies. Support implementation of sales support strategy through knowledge/data collection, research, analysis and sharing. Oversee projects from a marketing perspective. Drive the marketing deliverables of the projects.

PROVIDE ATL AND BTL MARKETING SOLUTIONS
Accountable for the alignment of marketing strategy with the business objectives. ATL, BTL and innovative channel development. Accountable for promotional events. Approval of all ATL and BTL marketing proposals and marketing strategies. Build relationships with suppliers and agencies. Provide insights into marketing (products; segments, markets) to drive business objectives.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT 
Budgeting and forecasting.
Report on marketing expenditure. Ensure related costs are within acceptable limits.
Specific focus on:
– Achievement against scorecard
– Increase marketing efficiencies
– Gross expenses managed within budget (control of ATL marketing budget)
– Leverage from Group Synergies

LEADERSHIP
Managing Performance. Career management. Monitoring individual productivity levels and driving corrective action where required. Staff Retention and talent management. Staff Motivation. Recognition. Training and Development. Resource planning. Recruitment and selection if required. Regular feedback to staff. Quarterly KRA review sessions.

Own development plan and performance contract, staying abreast of developments in the market and business development through research and development of own skills.

MANAGE KEY PARTNERS
Set AB objectives for key strategic partners
Manage and build relationship with key strategic partners, ensuring deliverables against strategy and plans whilst fostering long term relationship with mutual benefits
