Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in planning with rates and media information for monthly media schedules across various brands
• Work closely with planners and brand team to define best ROI for allocated budget and leads target
• implementation of multimedia plans and daily/weekly performance of these placements
• Investigate, analyse and recommend appropriate optimization ideas or new media opportunities
• Work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Negotiate rates, special offers and compensation when required
• Keeping up to date with industry trends, movements and research
• Liaising and building of relations internally and externally
• Invoices and queries
• Loading of adverts accurately onto internal tracking system
• Pulling of daily/weekly stats to check accurate loading of placements
• New proposals and ideas
• Administrative duties required – Print orders, CIs and chase lists
• Requesting and management of sms and scan numbers per advert
• Management of rates, print runs and discounts per title and station
• Budget control – monthly budget reconciliations

Minimum Job Requirements

• Matric/Grade 12/ NQF Level 4
• Experience in media buying and scheduling is essential across TV, print, radio, outdoor and online preferable
• Computer literacy in Excel, Word and Outlook
• Telmar, Media Manager, Adex and Chase – experience advantageous
• Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Self motivated, task orientated, deadline driven
• Figure orientated and strong administrative skills
• Established relationships with key media in the industry will be advantageous
