Are you an experienced professional in Facilities Management looking for a rewarding role in the healthcare sector? A leading private hospital in North West Province is seeking a dynamic and efficient Services Manager to coordinate and manage internal support services and external service providers to achieve our objectives of quality, growth, and people.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: National Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Facilities Management.
  • Experience: Proven track record in managing outsourced/insourced soft services, integrated facilities management, and bundled soft services contracts. Experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous; other relevant industries include hospitality, retail, FMCG, or related sectors.
  • Skills:
    • Industrial Relations knowledge (advantageous)
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Commercial awareness and understanding of contract documentation
    • High flexibility, resilience, and ability to work well under pressure
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage large teams
    • Proficiency in report writing and contingency planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and Manage Services: Oversee catering, cleaning, security, garden, hygiene, pest control, medical/healthcare risk waste, general waste, laundry, coffee shops, and paid parking services.
  • Team Leadership: Manage large insourced and outsourced teams, ensuring high standards of performance and service delivery.
  • Budget Management: Handle budgeting, forecasting, and procurement of facilities-related services.
  • Contract and SLA Management: Ensure compliance with contract documentation and health and safety regulations (OHS Act), managing service level agreements effectively.
  • Report Writing and Contingency Planning: Prepare detailed reports and develop contingency plans to maintain operational continuity.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving service quality and efficiency.
