Mfesane is a Christian Development Agency registered as a nonprofit company (NPC). Mfesane works extensively both in the Western and Eastern Cape provices providing Community Healthcare services: Care and Support of children, Youth and Families as well as Training, development and possible job placements of ex trainees.

Job Title: Chief Executive Officer
Job Location: Crossroads, Western Cape
Salary: R500 000 per annum, cost to company

The CEO is the custodian of the strategic plan of the organisation and is responsible for provinding direction, leadership and driving the activities that will contribute towards the independence and sustainability of Mfesane.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic planning and implementation
  • Financial Management
  • Human Resouces Management
  • Programme Management
  • Resource Mobilisation

Requirements:

  • Committed to Mfesane’s Christian identity
  • Post Graduate Qualification in Social Sciences or equivalent
  • Minimum of five years working experience in Social Development Sector
  • Minimum of five years leading a team of professionals in the private or public sector
  • Familiarity with standard donor financial reporting and compliance requirements
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally between two to five days a month
  • A valid driver’s licence and clean driving record
  • Computer literacy
  • Financially literate able to interpret company financial statements
  • Knowledge and experience of the social development sector within South Africa
  • Ability to drive strategic planning within the organisation
  • Networking skills in order to actively build strategic relationships with communities, government, corporate and fellow NPO’s
  • Experience with sustainable resource mobilisation
  • Report writing and communication skills
  • Staff management as the post entails the coordination and support of staff
  • Team player, but also able to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
