Job Title: Tutor: Amended Senior Certificate / Adult Matric _ Economics (Independent Contractor )

Job Summary:
This position is available in Milpark College. The Amended Senior Certificate (also called the Adult Matric) allow for students over the age of 21 to complete their matric qualification. The ideal candidate for this position must have teaching experience at Grade 11 and 12 level, in one or more of the subjects.

Responsibilities:
•Tutor students online in the specific subject.
•Be available to answer tutor queries.
•Assess students’ progress throughout tutoring sessions.
•Provide feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, or build confidence in students.
•Communicate students’ progress to students on Milpark’s online learning platform.
•Participate in training development sessions to improve tutoring practices, learn the online Learning Management System (Moodle) or learn new tutoring techniques.
•Identify, develop, or implement intervention strategies and tutoring plans.
•Develop training materials, like hand-outs, revision activities, or quizzes.
•Prepare and facilitate tutoring workshops or academic support sessions for small groups of students where needed.
•Assess formative assignment and provide online feedback to students.

Requirements:
Education & Experience Requirements:

•Teaching experience in one or more of the Milpark Matric subjects at Grade 12 level.
•Minimum of three years’ teaching experience.
•Computer Literate.
•Ability to work under pressure, independently and as part of a team.
•Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
•Be able to develop teaching and assessment material.
