Mr Price Apparel is currently recruiting for quality candidates who are keen on pursuing a career in Retail Merchandise Buying.

The Trainee Merchandise Buyer career opportunities are aimed at producing fully trained and equipped Retail Merchandiser Buyers for our business.

The objective of your role will be to support the Buyer in sourcing the best merchandise at the best price, within the company’s strategy.

Qualification

A relevant qualification majoring in Fashion / Clothing / Textile Design

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the buyer to put together a product strategy for the season;
• Placing orders with suppliers,
• Liaise extensively with suppliers throughout the season to ensure samples are received timeously,
• Effectively manage all of the samples received and prepare samples weekly for the marketing dept.
• Assist the Merchandise Buyer daily with their objectives.
