Mission

The Graduate will be trained (formally and ‘on the job’) under the guidance of the line manager, gain knowledge, understanding, insight and hands-on experience and skills of the said area of expertise.

The graduate will learn to ensure that professional written proposal content is produced which clearly articulates the organisations value proposition.
 

KPA duties
Task Complexity:

The graduate will be trained and up-skilled to perform various tasks:
Tasks will be defined per product or area which they may rotate within during the on-the-job training

 

 

•Proposal Writing
oAssist with storyboard sessions
oAssist the bid / proposal manager in developing a proposal structure.
oIdentify and re-work existing pre-written content where relevant.
oDeliver completed written proposal responses to the proposal manager and other team members against agreed RFP deadlines, escalating issues as required.
oRe-write / edit proposal responses from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, product teams, and finance, commercial, legal and delivery.
oAbility to coach sales teams in writing best practice.
oPresent all new proposal content to bid office team members for potential re-use.
oStrong time management / prioritisation skills.
oStrong written English language skills.

 

 

•Knowledge Management
oUpdate and maintain the central repository of sales enablement assets
oAssimilate information extracted from SMEs and re-write it into a defined style, ensuing that it is clearly articulated and easy to integrate into proposals for re-use
oEnsure legal and operational compliance of database information.
oWork with graphics designers as required, maintaining a strong graphics database.
oSchedule regular reviews of the knowledge base to identify areas that need to be updated / expanded.
oReview the structure of the knowledge base on a regular basis, to ensure that it reflects the needs of the business.
oProvide regular training to users of the knowledge base and gather feedback on a regular basis.
oProvide training to internal customers on the use of any knowledgebase tools

 

•Reporting
oConsistently and comprehensively report as per the agreed departmental practices and standards
oProactive escalation of delays, issues, risks

 

•Sales Enablement
oEnsure that the company is listed on tender databases and registered on government supplier lists
oAdhere to all company policies, processes and procedures

•Matrix or equivalent
•A completed Degree or Relevant Diploma
