Multichoice Finance Internship

MultiChoice is looking for a graduate to participate in a Payroll Accountant Internship position based in Randburg.

Duties and Responsibilties

• Processing payroll related payments on Standard Bank Business on-line
• Ensure daily payments have the correct supporting documents, reconcile to payroll totals and submit to the relevant authorisers for payment release.
• Process confidential (ISP, contractors and recruitment) payments, as per Management request
• Process bursary payments and maintain debtor’s book
• Daily allocation of payments from salary cashbook accounts on SAP
• Daily filing of payroll payments
• Monthly Bank Reconciliations for salary bank accounts
• Prepare a cashbook journal and send to MWeb
• Prepare Balance sheet reconciliations for all payroll related control accounts
• Assist with the investigation of the reconciling items by following up with payroll administrators, investigating non-payroll related entries and tracing to the source
• Processing payroll related re-allocation journals
• Processing intercompany journals and invoices
• Distribution of payroll costing reports
• Extraction of payroll journals from the payroll system
• Ensure payroll journal balances to payroll costing report prior to importing to SAP
• Prepare a schedule of leave provisions and send to business for processing
• Prepare headcount reports
• Process Executive payroll journal
• Assisting with payroll cost related queries
• Ad-hoc payroll reporting
• Assist Payroll Teal Leader with payroll related duties such as:
• The preparation of import files,
• QA of payroll processing.

• B Com (Accounting) or equivalent
• Statutory understanding (company and Income Tax Act)
