The External Sales Executive will be responsible for promoting and selling Mustek products to The Dealer Channel, Government / Corporate Customers, Retail and Key Accounts, as applicable per allocated database. He/She must be able to build lasting relationships with new and existing customers, handling sales enquiries, providing quotations and closing sales.

Job Summary:
•Achieve gross profit target by the end of each month. Ensure Year to date target is maintained if monthly target is not achieved.
•Achieve sales turnover target by the end of each month. Ensure Year to date target is maintained if monthly target is not achieved.
•Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers via customer visits and meetings, telephone calls, emails and other communication tools.
•Identify appropriate dealers from the database to visit during weekly time slot. Focus on a better understanding of the client’s business focus/clientele and specific needs.
•Demonstrate how Mustek products and services can meet client needs, focusing specifically on areas where the client is unaware of the range of offering from Mustek.
•Provides customers with necessary product support and basic technical support and maintain the relationship between the customer and Service.
•Evaluate customer spend on a quarterly basis and determine reasons for declines observed.
•Motivate dealers to attend events arranged for the Western Cape area, and use these events as opportunities to promote products and build relationships.
•Maximise sales opportunities during special promotions.
•Work closely with the internal team members/departments to ensure high customer satisfaction.
•Attend all scheduled in-house training to ensure keeping abreast with the latest technology and products.

•Monitor stock levels as per allocated responsibilities.
•Follow Company sales procedures (ISO) at all times.
•Responds to messages received through e-mail, telephone or other communication tools.
•Take steps to ensure calls or messages are being responded to when not available.
•Provide technical specifications and accurate quotations in the shortest possible time to ensure efficiency and customer retention.
•Follow-up with work in progress to ensure customer satisfaction.
•Maintain reliable, up-to-date customer records.
•Report to the branch manager on any relevant information that will assist in understanding trends or opportunities within the region.
•Escalate problems to the branch manager promptly when special intervention is required.
•Manage demo account according to the stipulated time frame as set out on the demo forms.
•Contact clients for outstanding amounts by the 10th of each month, as and when notified by Finance.

Qualification and Experience:
•Qualification in sales and/or marketing would be advantageous
•Driver’s license and own transport
•Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sales target driven environment, corporate/retail sales with account management experience (within ICT would be an advantage)
