Job Title: M&E Officer (AGYW)
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa

Duration: 36 Months

Job Summary:
The M&E Officer will support the efficient and effective functioning of NACOSA’s Global Fund funded Adult Girls and Young Girls programme by providing a high-quality M&E data validation and support function.

The Key Responsibilities of the role are:
•The M&E Officer will ensure accurate collection, capturing & reporting of programmatic data for NACOSA implementing partners.
•Assist in preparation of M&E sections of reports to donors and other stakeholders.
•Conduct onsite and off site data verification of NACOSA implementing partners.
•Conduct thorough and extensive data verification of all data, including detailed checking of reported data against source documents, to ensure all data captured is accurate and valid
•Prepare reports and provide feedback on data quality issues detected
•Perform basic data analysis with the view to provide recommendations on improvement of data quality measures and controls
•Work closely with the M&E and programmatic team, to implement systems to improve data quality
•Attend regular M&E workshops, relevant staff enrichment training sessions, meetings and training courses as required
•Assist with training and technical support of NACOSA implementing partners staff on M&E policies, procedures and tools

Requirements:
The Requirements of the Role are:
•Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation/Research/Public Health or related discipline
•Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience within an M&E function, with involvement in general administration
•Experience in monitoring and promoting data quality
•Experience in capacity development of field staff in M&E and coordinating the work of others
•Good computer skills with work experience using data management systems and MS Office
•Attention to detail
•Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, high stress environment
•Must be a self-starter and able to work independently with little supervision
•Strong planning, time management, problem solving, and project management skills
•Results-oriented, professional, accountable and proactive
•Strong interpersonal communication skills
•Proven ability to work as part of a team
•Valid drivers’ license, own reliable vehicle and willingness to travel
