NACOSA is a network of community organisations working together to turn the tide on HIV, AIDS, TB and gender-based violence (GBV) in Southern Africa. Our programmes work to reduce the impact of HIV, AIDS, TB and GBV and contribute to the global strategy to bring about the end of AIDS by 2030. In line with South Africa’s National Strategic Plan and UNAIDS’ 90-90-90 Fast Track targets, NACOSA focuses on young women and girls, sex workers, people who inject drugs, those most affected by gender-based violence, children and youth, and other vulnerable and key populations.

NACOSA has a position of a Finance Clerk to form part of the finance team. This position will be on a contract basis, up to 12 Months.

Job Summary:
•Process purchases, sales, receipts, and payments on Sage Evolution.
•Translate financial transactions from QuickBooks to Sage and capture
•Capturing all Project Financial transactions on the Sage Evolution.
•Reconciliations of cash and cash equivalents accounts
•Reconciliation of control accounts (debtors, creditors, projects.)
•Prepare and process monthly and repeating journals in Sage Evolution
•Maintain Projects in Evolution
•General finance and accounting duties as may be needed from time to time
•Uphold and exemplify NACOSA, its vision, mission, values, and objectives, etc.
•Ensure adherence to HR NACOSA policies and procedures
Requirements

Requirements:
•Diploma or degree in accounting
•Minimum of 3 years’ general accounting experience
•Proficiency in QuickBooks and Sage Evolution
•Computer literacy in MS Office.
•Fluent in English and a local language (written and verbal).
•Detail orientation – Can integrate information from a variety of sources
•Prioritization – Takes accountability and responds to challenges in a timely manner.
•Knowledge of the NGO sector would be an advantage
