The above acting position will become vacant at Head Office (Based in Pretoria but will relocate to Kempton Park, Pomona January 2023), reporting to the Human Resource Representative. The overall purpose of this position is to take full responsibility for the reception functions. Although external applications must be considered, Namaqua Wines SA (PTY) Ltd would prefer internal applications to promote internal employee advancement.

 

 

 

 

Job Title: RECEPTIONIST – PRETORIA/KEMPTON PARK
Location: Kempton Park

Job Summary:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Key areas of responsibility will include:

• Serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately.
• Notifies company personnel of visitor arrival.
• Maintains security and telecommunications system.
• Informs visitors by answering or referring inquiries.
• Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories.
• Maintains security by following procedures, monitoring logbook, and issuing visitor badges.
• Operates telecommunication system by following manufacturer’s instructions for house phone and console operation.
• Keeps a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

• Supports continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Answering screening and forwarding incoming phone calls.
• Arrange delivery of customer complaints with Globe flight.
• Follow up on all parcels sent out is received by recipients.
• Ordering of return /delivery note books for warehouses and stationery for staff.
• Printing statements for Sales Representatives / Merchandiser on ABSA fleet card statements.
• Monitoring the printer’s toner level inform IT on reading.
• Receiving Pick n Pay deliveries and make sure all that is ordered its received sign off and give invoice to Finance Department.
• Arranging new store access card for new sales employees with Consumer goods council.
• Print monthly attendance register for security guard/ office staff.

Desired Experience & Qualification:
Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12.
• At least 2 years’ experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Microsoft Word, Excel.
• No criminal record.
• Own reliable transport and valid Driver’s Licence is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with administrative and clerical procedures.
• Preference will be given to candidates who reside in Pretoria but need to relocate to Kempton Park,Pomona in January 2023.
