Neotel South Africa is seeking for suitable individuals to fill in for Senior Manager – IT Governance and Transformation – Reward Level 19  162/2010/03

Key responsibilities

IT Governance and business process management:

• Design, recommend and document:
• IT governance structures and framework as well as IT process improvements to optimize resource utilization and service delivery;
• Identifying and implementing initiatives to improve resource usage, performance and capacity – e.g. process optimization techniques;
• Act as a focal point for all IT governance and process management issues;
• Ensure that the IT processes, associated techniques and methods are regularly reviewed and audited; attend to related improvement requirements;
• Revise policies, processes, procedures and plans where necessary.
• Security, Networks and Compliance:
• Develop and maintain related policies and a supporting set of standards ensuring appropriate authorization and endorsement from senior IT and business management;
• Communicate and publicize the Information Security policies and standards to all appropriate parties as well as compliance
• Identify and classify IT and information assets (systems and data) at the level of control and protection required;
• Perform security risk analysis and risk management in conjunction with Availability and IT service Continuity management;
• Design security controls and develop security plans;
• Develop and document procedures for operating and maintaining security controls;
• Promote, create awareness and educate on security;
• Maintain a set of security controls and documentation, review and audit all controls;
• Ensure changes are assessed for impact;
• Ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of the service is maintained via SLA’s and that there is conformity;
• Design and document network and security solutions.

Engagement and Contract Management:

• Provide assistance in developing and reviewing SLA’s, contracts, agreements and any such other;
• Ensure that value for money is obtained from all suppliers;
• Ensure that all supplier processes are consistent and interface to all corporate supplier strategies, processes and standard terms and conditions;
• Maintain and review supplier and contracts databases;
• Ensure that any underpinning contracts, agreements or SLA’s are aligned to business;
• Ensure that roles between lead and sub contractors is documented and that interface and dependencies are scoped;
• Review lead supplier processes to ensure that any sub contracted suppliers are meeting their contractual obligations
• Performing contract or SLA – review annually;
• Maintain a process for dealing with contractual disputes and manage such process;
• Maintain a process for dealing with expected end, early end or service transfers.

IT Business Continuity Management and Disaster Recovery:

• Implement and maintain the IT service continuity management process as aligned to business;
• Ensure that all SCM plans, risks and activities underpin and align with all BCM plans;
• Perform risk assessments and manage risk to prevent disasters;
• Assess potential service continuity issues;
• Perform post mortem review of service continuity tests;
• Maintain a comprehensive testing schedule which includes testing and continuity.
• IT Financial Management:
• Manage the IT budget; keep records;

Manage IR, PO, and related processes and track.

• Implement and maintain the IT service continuity management process as aligned to business;

Requirements, Experience and Attributes

The ideal candidate for this post should have the following:

Qualification and Skills:

• BSc in Computer Science or BSc in Engineering
• Management qualification necessary
• Exposure to enterprise application integration and experience with messaging technologies
• Comprehensive knowledge of Rational Unified Process.
• Expertise in system modelling (UML) and architectural trade-off analysis.
• Familiarity with Zachman Framework, TOGAF

Expertise in Enterprise Architecture Tools will be advantageous

Experience:

8+ years of experience in the development of distributed, mission critical applications in heterogeneous environments/architectures for multi-user systems.

5+ years working experience in networks and security systems design.

Experience with object oriented analysis, design and development

5+ years of management experience, cross functional team management and relationship building at all levels within the business
