Our valued client in the Water and Mining sector would like us to find the best in the East.  They have a Maintenance Manager vacancy available for a experienced Mechanical Engineer. Ideally from Mining or Mechanical or Water Projects. Oversee the implementation and adherence to the Maintenance Information System (SAP) and ensure all assets are marked and controlled with the Asset Register, including spares management.Manage maintenance processes to ensure optimal equipment availability and the smooth functioning of production processes.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Enforce compliance with standard operating procedures, contractual agreements, and safety guidelines; address non-conformances as needed.
• Develop and maintain operational and strategic maintenance reports.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding spares, equipment, and materials.
• Ensure the development, implementation, and maintenance of preventative maintenance and spares systems.
• Provide advice on breakdowns and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and enhance reliability.
• Conduct root cause analyses, audits, and compile action plans.
• Maintain effective administration and control procedures to meet performance objectives.
• Ensure efficient management and execution of Condition Monitoring feedback.
• Efficiently manage resources to meet performance objectives.
• Deliver high-quality, professional service to ensure client satisfaction.
• Assist in the compilation of internal and external maintenance reports and attend client meetings as required.
• Promote best practices in Root Cause analysis.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing between sites and the engineering department.
• Implement and manage SLAs as needed.
• Update critical controls as required.
• Drive continuous improvement in maintenance plans, procedures, and activities.
• Adhere to and manage Management of Change (MOC) principles.
• Enforce the disciplinary code and take corrective action when necessary.
• Identify and implement maintenance-related training needs.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.

BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES

• Graduated and certificated mechanical/electrical engineer (mechanical preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in plant E, M&I equipment maintenance.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a GES.
• GCC Certificate (Government ticket) is a plus.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Knowledge of SAP maintenance is an advantage.
• Understanding and implementation of Function Location Codes (FLC).
• Strong business skills, prioritization, coordination ability, goal orientation, problem-solving, teamwork, analytical ability, controlling, planning, and organizing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office packages; experience with computerized maintenance management systems is an advantage.
• Ability to coach and mentor individuals and teams.
• Excellent communication skills, including presentation, listening, writing, and speaking.
• Leadership skills.
• Commitment to customer service, continuous improvement, and achieving objectives.
• Experience in planned maintenance and project management.
