A leading company in the financial industry is looking to employ a Change Consultant on a 12 months contract. The candidate will be expected to lead and facilitate change initiatives by applying structured methodologies and best practices to ensure seamless integration and effective management of changes within the organization. The primary objective is to optimize the return on investment while minimizing disruption to productivity, operations, and employee engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities
INTERNAL PROCESS
- Develop a deep understanding of organizational strategies and key projects to tailor change management approaches effectively.
- Design and implement change plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and project goals.
- Analyse feedback, provide insights, and suggest improvements to enhance change adoption and process innovation.
- Apply change management strategies and tools to drive the adoption of new processes, systems, and initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of change initiatives.
- Manage communication plans related to change, ensuring clarity and consistency.
- Conduct impact assessments, gauge change readiness, and identify critical stakeholders for informed change planning.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of training, support systems, and communication tools to facilitate change adoption.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with change initiatives, ensuring successful outcomes.
- Partner with leadership and HR teams to manage resistance and foster a positive change environment.
- Implement and coordinate efforts across all change management levers, including communication, sponsorship, coaching, training, and resistance management.
- Support leadership in building readiness and commitment to change.
- Provide guidance on integrating change management activities into project plans.
- Monitor and report on change readiness and stakeholder management, ensuring alignment and progress.
- Oversee a portfolio of change initiatives, acting as the primary point of contact for change-related matters.
Client Engagement
- Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on managing and implementing change.
- Cultivate strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and cooperation.
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of service level agreements, ensuring they meet client expectations.
- Promote service practices that enhance client satisfaction and encourage innovation.
People and Development
- Build and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Actively participate in and support change initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Pursue ongoing professional development to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
- Contribute to a culture of innovation by sharing new ideas and approaches.
Financial Responsibility
- Participate in financial planning and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
- Manage resources responsibly, ensuring optimal use of company assets.
- Contribute to risk identification and provide recommendations in appropriate forums.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences or equivalent.
- Certification in change management (e.g., Prosci).
- 3-5 years of experience in a change management role.
- Experience aligning change activities with business strategy, particularly in the financial services sector.
- Project management experience is desirable
- Non-Negotiables: Must be Prosci Certified Change Practitioner
