A technology company in Roodepoort is seeking the services of a mechatronic engineer.
We are looking for a skilled Mechatronic Vehicle Systems Engineer to design, develop, and integrate complex mechatronic systems for our vehicles. This role involves working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and software systems in our cutting-edge vehicle platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Design and Integration: Develop and implement mechatronic systems and components for vehicle applications. Integrate mechanical, electrical, and software elements to create cohesive and efficient systems.
• Development and Testing: Lead the development of prototypes and test systems to validate performance and functionality. Conduct rigorous testing and analysis to ensure systems meet design specifications and regulatory standards.
• Troubleshooting and Optimization: Diagnose and resolve issues related to mechatronic systems. Optimize system performance, reliability, and efficiency through iterative design improvements and problem-solving.
• Collaboration: Work closely with design engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful integration and performance of mechatronic systems. Participate in cross-functional team meetings and project reviews.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for system designs, test procedures, and performance reports. Ensure that documentation is accurate and up-to-date for internal and external audits.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Experience in mechatronic systems development, preferably within the automotive industry. Experience with vehicle control systems and integration is highly desirable.
• Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA), simulation tools, and programming languages (e.g., C++, Python). Strong understanding of control systems, sensors, actuators, and embedded systems.
• Analytical Abilities: Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong ability to analyze complex systems and develop effective solutions.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present technical information clearly and work collaboratively in a team environment.
