This position is well-suited for young adults, university students, and both experienced and aspiring tutors who are based in South Africa, have a passion for working with children, and are seeking remote opportunities to supplement their income.Who We Are:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Guide students while delivering English lessons based on a well-developed curriculum and teaching methodology
• Engage and encourage students positively throughout the lesson
• Manage a classroom and provide feedback to students on their language proficiency

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• A degree or NQF 7 equivalent
• A 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate is required
• Great command of the English language (accent neutral)
• Computer literate and able to troubleshoot
• Comfortable using Zoom as a teaching platform

PC Specifications:

• Processor: Intel ® Core™ i5 CPU @2.40GHz (4 CPUs) or greater
• Memory: 8GB RAM or greater

Backup Power:

• Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) with a battery life of up to 4-5 hours (or willing to purchase before commencing teaching). This is a non-negotiable requirement
• A separate mini power supply system to power your fiber router as an independent system

Internet Connection:

• A stable FIBRE internet connection – at a minimum of 25 mbps upload and download speeds
• PC is connected via a LAN cable and not via a Wi-Fi connection

Other Technical Requirements:

• Noise-cancelling headsets
• HD web camera
• Back-up headset is highly recommended
• Tidy, well-lit, and quiet teaching environment

Points To Note:

• All lesson material is provided
• All students are kids

Available Shifts in South African Standard Time:

• Mon-Fri 11:00-16:00

Location:

• Anywhere in South Africa as this is a home-based remote online teaching role
