The Graduate Development Programme is a fundamental aspect of Old Mutual’s transformation drive. The programme aims to attract, develop and retain graduates into Old Mutual (SA).

The Graduate Development Programme is targeted at final year and/or post graduate students across all faculties, particularly:

  • Property Management/Development
  • Engineering
  • Commerce
  • Business Science
  • Business Management
  • Information Systems / Information Technology
  • Marketing
  • Law
  • Industrial Psychology

Focused on a common theme of academic excellence and strong interpersonal skills.

Aimed at focused development in a specific role over an 18-month period.

Old Mutual South Africa offers four Graduate Programmes:

  • Graduate Development Programme
  • Property Graduate Programme
  • Group Internal Audit Placement Programme
  • Broker Distribution Graduate Programme

Application and Selection Process

The application and selection process consists of three phases.

Phase 1

Phase one consists of:

University presentations.

Complete the application form below. Please be sure to select your business focus area from the various options offered e.g. Marketing, Finance, Strategy.

Screening and shortlisting of applications.

Psychometric testing

Phase 2

Phase two consists of a targeted selection interview at the university.

Phase 3

Phase three consists of interviews with management followed by an offer of employment to successful applicants towards the middle of November.

Only shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview. If you haven’t been contacted by the end of October, then please accept that your application has been unsuccessful.

Closing dates: The closing date for applications is 20 August 2010.
