Ons Plek Projects Available Position

Ons Plek Projects is the only residential Child and Youth Care Centre in Cape Town that specialises in developmental and therapeutic intake services for girls who have lived, worked or begged on the streets of Cape Town.

Job Title: Community Worker 
Job Location: Cape Town

Salary commensurate with experience and normal leave facilities apply

Responsibilities:

Work mornings in Woodstock and Mowbray

• Assist with Bridging School in Mowbray
• Administrative work

Work afternoons in Philippi

• Supervise homework
• Visit Schools and Parents
• Provide Counselling

Requirements:

• Communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Report writing skills in English and Xhosa/Afrikaans and evaluative ability
• Be mature and have experience with children
• Preferably hold a post matric qualification in a field related to children such as Childcare/Youth Development/Teaching
