Job Title: Africa Finance Reporting Manager

Salary: R 7.00 – 7.00 Monthly

Introduction
Reporting to the Africa Finance Director, this position leads the financial reporting function for OUP’s African businesses and manages the Record to Report Team to prepare accounts and implement effective internal controls to ensure that the region’s Transactional Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and Audit matters are handled effectively. The incumbent of this role will be a key member of the Africa Finance management team.

•The creation and distribution of financial reports which provide an accurate picture of the financial position of the Africa Region.
•Compliance with legislation in respect of statutory returns across all branches in the Africa Region.
•Final trial balance is handed to auditors on time.
•Ensure that productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders are maintained.
•Employee management and motivation

•Budgets managed effectively

Requirements
Academic Qualifications: SAICA – Chartered Accountant
Work Experience: 3 years post-articles experience, 3 years management experience,The successful candidate must be able to clearly demonstrate the following abilities:•Leadership of a financial function
•Provision of financial reporting services to multiple stakeholders through a shared service environment
•Demonstrable experience of delivering change successfully in a complex environment
•Excellent people management skills
•Management of ERP system (preferably SAP)
•Delivery of continuous improvement to finance processes and controls
•Statutory reporting and returns across multiple jurisdictions
•Knowledge of international Publishing/
Education/Creative Media industry involving IP ownership and royalties.
