Job Title: Technology & Operations Intern
Location: Goodwood, Western Cape, South Africa

Contract Type: Contract 12 Months

Job Summary:
The intention is to give practical work experience to graduates who are in their last year of study and require exposure in a work environment. Successful interns will be expected to complete a 12-month contract commencing January 2022 and terminating December 2022.

Key responsibilities:
Key Learning Areas include, but are not limited to the following:

In-depth understanding of the elements which make up Technology and Operations in OUPSA
Specific focus in key areas of Operations: Supply Chain
(Customer Service & Warehouse), Manufacturing, Real estates and Workplace and Technology
Exposure to incoming and outgoing logistics, customer services and the customer experience
Exposure to the manufacturing environment and how Estates and workplace, together with Technology, provide the tools and the environment for good working practices
Commercial awareness and working with budgets and analysing of data
Providing support to the various functions in Technology & Operations
Requirements
To qualify for selection and participation in this programme, candidates must satisfy the following criteria:

Diploma or Bcom general/Supply chain/logistics
Computer literacy – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Sound communication and presentation skills
Effective time management
Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure
Ability to work in a team
South African citizen
Able to travel locally and have access to reliable transport
Innovative and agile
