Job Title: GROUP PROCUREMENT & IT MANAGER

Job Summary:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Procurement:
In conjunction with the CFO, provide business with procurement management
services in support of strategic goals.
Participate in the development, management and adherence of overall procurement
strategies company-wide.
Develop a vendor programme for local community involvement to strengthen the relationship between mine and the local community.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with keys vendors.
Ensure up-to-date status with all vendors.
Effectively manage total procurement processes.
Manage entire procurement tender process for the company from scoping tender documents up to making final recommendations to Exco.
Adherence and participation in relevant audits.
Assess quarterly overall BEE spend and improve recognition spend for Black Female, EME and QSE spend.
Negotiate the necessary Service Level Agreements with all key Supply Chain partners to ensure that all outsourced deliverables are met on time, on budget and at the expected service levels.
Within limitations, renegotiate the terms of existing contracts with suppliers, i.e. review pricing and the duration of the contract by mutual agreement and the inclusion of additional clauses (for clarification) and secure required approval.
Work closely with all business stakeholders to understand their needs, have regular reviews, and deal with issues and escalations.
Effective oversight of departmental budget (and management thereof).
Keep abreast of (and adherence to) all procurement / supply chain regulations and industry best practices.
Manage all procurement processes in adherence of the policy.
Identify, manage and report risk within the company.
IT Systems:
Ensure optimal health of the IT infrastructure and ensure the necessary systems, consultants and structures are in place to maintain a healthy IT and Financial System environment.
Implement and monitor quality assurance systems that ensure the service delivery in the field meets internal client expectations.
Develop and implement processes and systems in line with the company and stakeholder policies to ensure effective and efficient governance and business principles.
Ensure a disaster risk management system and plan is in place that will rehabilitate the organization in the event of either loss of premises or damage to IT infrastructure.
Desired Experience & Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain
Minimum of 10-15 years’ experience post qualification in a similar role preferably in the mining industry.
Candidates should have a sound knowledge of mining practices and legal requirements
