Job Title: Documentation Writer
Location: Cape Town

Job Summary:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Client Details:
A highly successful international listed company who offers remote and international opportunities. This client looks for high achievers who wish to work with the best on a global playing field.

Role Responsibilities:
Working with subject matter experts to develop and maintain content.
Adhering to documentation standards and style guidelines.
Proofing and editing previously written material.
Maintaining documentation build processes.
Independently manage projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

BA degree in a related field (English / Communications) or Computer Science or related field.

Relevant Skills / Experience:
2 – 3 years’ working experience in a related field.
Excellent command of the English language.
Curious about technology, flexible, eager to learn and acquire new skills.
Strong critical thinking, analytical, problem solving, and reading comprehension skills.
Obsession with technical accuracy and strong attention to detail.
Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to ask the right questions to extract information cordially and effectively.
Experience with or exposure to the following:
Working experience within software development or Internet-related industries (Telecoms).
Authoring software (Oxygen XML Editor) / API documentation.
Topic-based writing / Screen capture software (Snagit), and the appropriate use of screenshots.
Building documentation using scripts (ANT) / Developing documentation in an agile software development team.
Scrum / Issue tracking software (JIRA) / Wikis (Confluence).
XML (DocBook XML) / Version control systems (SVN).
