PASA was recognised by the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) as the Payment System Management Body (PSMB) of South Africa in 1998. PASA oversees the function of 18 different payment streams ranging from low value debit card transactions to high value bond exchange payments.

In serving its mandate, PASA has supported several initiatives that have shaped the payments landscape in South Africa, including the Rapid Payments Programme and DebiCheck.

Job Title: Human Resources Generalist (Fixed Term Contract)
Location: Parktown North, Gauteng, South Africa

Job Summary:
The PASA Human Resources Generalist will work closely with the HR Manager to provide generalist HR support for the Human Resources Department. The HR Generalist will be responsible for a section of the human resources function within PASA covering a variety of human resources functions which include but are not limited to recruitment, supporting new starter and leaver employee administration, wellness related administration, supporting Learning & Development administration, data and reporting as well as general assistance as required.

Core Accountability 1: Recruitment and Selection:
•Administration and management of the complete recruitment cycle from requisition to placement.
•Act as first line of contact for hiring managers. Play an active role in understanding recruitment needs, to provide specific advice to line managers on talent needs.
•Initial CV screening, shortlisting, advertisement, interview scheduling and booking assessments.
•Work closely with preferred recruitment agencies to source best candidates for each open requisition.
•Assist the HR Manager in developing a steady pipeline of candidates through the PASA Talent Pool Program.
•Administration of the PASA Applicant Tracking System.
•Ensure employment equity targets and standards are consistently applied throughout the recruitment and selection process.

Core Accountability 2: Learning and Development:
•Coordination of all PASA approved training programs, which may include administering and booking delegates on training programs and tracking delegate training progress.
•Administration of the PASA Learning Management System and online learning software in conjunction with the Learning and Development team.
•Actively tracking and recording all PASA training in a systematic and understandable format.

Core Accountability 3: Employee life cycle administration:
•Manage key administration aspects of the employee life cycle
oComplete stay and exit interviews and record trends that may occur
oEnsure all new joiners are onboarded according to the PASA onboarding process
oManage and implement the wellbeing agenda for PASA, which may include EAP administration and wellbeing day administration.
oManage the end-to-end leaver process for PASA (benefits administration, equipment administration and leaver communications)
oManage all HR communication linked to the employee life cycle.

Core Accountability 4: Committee participation:
•Form an integral part of the Social committee, People Committee and Health and Safety committee for PASA.
•Implement all actions that come out of each committee in conjunction with the HR Manager.

Requirements:
Working Model:
PASA employs a hybrid core working model. This working model allows all PASA employees to choose their working location based on their needs i.e. employees can work from home or at the office based on their daily needs.

Education and Experience Required:
•Tertiary qualification in either human resources management, business administration or industrial psychology.
•2-3 years hands on experience as a HR Administrator or Generalist, with at least 1 year of recruitment experience.
•Experience within financial services or banking will be an advantage.

Knowledge & Skills:
•Understanding of the BCEA, LRA, OHSA, COIDA, Skills Development Act, CCMA processes and codes of good practice.
