Vacancy Details

Our client is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced Automation Engineer to be based in the Cape Town region. Operating predominantly in the FMCG sector, the Automation Engineer needs to be able to perform his role independently and display excellent leadership qualities daily.

 

Technical Skills Required:

• PLC Programming and Sequencing on platforms such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Schneider.
• HMI Development on platforms such as Delta, Simatic and PanelView.
• Experienced with Factory and Plant Installations, Programming and Commissioning.
• Ability to modify PLC and HMI Programs according to a client’s request.
• Ability to liaise directly with clients and conduct office-based Site Acceptance Tests.
• On-site commissioning.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform complex system tests.
• Ability to oversee site installations and manage projects.
• Detail-oriented personality.

Requirements:

• National Senior Certificate / Grade 12.
• National Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering or similar.
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience as an Automation Engineer.
• Ability to perform a leadership role independently.
• Disciplined, proactive, organised, and methodical.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transport.
