Cullinan Diamond Mine is situated in the town of Cullinan 30km east from Pretoria. The mine is currently mining at a depth of 747
meters using mechanized trackless block-cave mining.

Job Description:

The incumbent will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of electrical infrastructure and will be
required to maintain various plant and project installations according to sound engineering practice and equipment specifications.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
 Investigate, diagnose and perform trade related maintenance and repairs to equipment and machinery according to
maintenance requirements
 Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations, manufacturing and Company standards
 Report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the Foreman
 Develop, modify, construct/fabricate and install related equipment required for the safe operation of all engineering equipment
 Identify spares requirements and order according to departmental procedure
 Communicate with clients and supervisors on maintenance activities performed and equipment handover
 Work according to the Mine’s Code of Practice and report any observations of this not being done
 Ensure personal and co-workers’ adherence and compliance to Security and Company’s SHE objectives

Minimum Requirements:
 Qualified Electrician with Trade Certificate at recognized /accredited institution
 Valid Public Drivers License Code EB (08)
 Five years’ experience as an Electrician in a plant/project environment
 HT experience
 Siemens S7 PLC, industrial instrumentation, Siemens Simacode MCC starters and Adroit experience will be advantageous

 Planning, leading and organisational abilities
 Independent, proactive thinking, motivated and have the ability to do own job planning
 High level of multi-skilling, including Cutting, Welding, Fitting and Rigging
 Electrical Construction work and planning thereof
 Pass Vienna Assessment (Level 2) – (test to be conducted on mine)
 Work overtime, do standby and be available for call-outs should the need arise
