Enterprise and Supplier Development Specialist (Fixed Term Contract for 2 years)

Objectives

Drive the implementation of the Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) Framework and implementation plan as part of ensuring that set targets are met and are aligned to the broader national policy and regulatory framework with specific emphasis on BBBBEE in line with overall transformation objectives

Outputs

  • Implement training initiatives and/ or interventions identified as part of developing and training qualifying enterprises and suppliers in line with the overall objectives set to ensure that targets are met
  • Facilitate access to various business opportunities, including finance, capacity building and training (both generic and technical) through strategic partnerships to ensure that the objectives of the Enterprise and Supplier Development Framework are met
  • Conduct business opportunity analysis throughout the PetroSA value chain to ensure that Enterprise and Supplier Development Framework objectives are fully integrated throughout all Divisions
  • Organise and facilitate networking opportunities for Suppliers and Enterprises to ensure that they grow and diversify their markets both locally and internationally (mainly Africa)
  • Track Enterprise and Supplier Development strategy and policy implementation across PetroSA to ensure effective monitoring and reporting on progress made on an ongoing basis
  • Record and store documentation according to ISO standards and adhere to SHEQ practises to ensure a safe and healthy working environment
  • Contain expenditure within the budget guidelines to ensure that funds are optimally utilised in service delivery
  • Provide advice and relevant business support services on overall BBBEE, business and organisational related processes and procedures to ensure the achievement of strategic objectives and compliance to legislation
  • Manage the development and implementation of a personal learning and growth plan to ensure ongoing learning and development

Qualifications

B Degree in Economics / Commerce / Law / Business Management

Experience

  • 5 -7 years’ related experience in a corporate environment of which 4 years was spent in Enterprise and Supplier Development
  • Experience in coordinating with relevant government and private sectors and working with multi business stakeholders is a prerequisite
  • Good all-round understanding of BBBEE (Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment) and SME (Small, Medium and Macro Enterprises)/ QSE (Qualifying Small Enterprises)
  • EME (Exempted Micro Enterprise) in SA, preferably within the oil and gas industry

Other

This position is on a SS15 grade
