Our client, a leader in the ICT industry is looking for a Finance/Business Process Specialist who has experience in successfully rolling out change projects, like ERP systems, and other formal process improvement initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Education:
Relevant Finance or Business Process Management
Skills/Experience required:
5 – 10 years of work experience, including experience in either the telecommunications or real estate industries
Experience working in African markets
Experience in the development and presentation of proposals for business development activities
Track record of working with cross-functional teams
Project and change management skills are essential
Excellent strategic, planning, and problem solving skills.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to drive and motivate team to achieve results and influence and inspire action
Must have process management experience
Strong analysis skills
Self-motivated. Ability to work independently and effectively manage priorities
Job Description:
Operations Process Specialist encompasses the management of processes and reporting relating to the following areas:
Finance Reporting and analysis
General Ledger Management and month end close
SOX controls
Direct cost management
Taxation
Intercompany Transactions
Project accounting
Essential Duties:
Take a key leadership role in working with the markets to clearly define strategic objectives for the finance area at a regional level. These must be clearly aligned to the overall regional strategy
Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities that will deliver the highest value to the markets, and ensure that these are in line with strategic objectives
Formalize working group teams, including relevant IT and business resources with relevant subject matter expertise that will focus on delivering quality solutions that add value to the business.
Each strategic initiative will be managed as a project using Lean six sigma methodology, (DMAIC model) with clearly defined problem statement, goals and objectives, clear KPI’s, and end to end plans with timelines and responsibilities to ensure initiatives are effectively implemented
Ensure the BPM improvement process is followed (as per BPM standards) to support the effective implementation of initiatives.
Develop and maintain a functional process architecture that is intuitive to the end users
Ensure Process Owner and Process Champion roles have been allocated within each markets functional teams, and that allocated responsibilities are carried out in line with BPM framework
Ensure all as-is functional processes are documented in the BPM system across the Africa region
Ensure Process owners timeously review their process and sign them off in accordance with the Promapp system timeframes.
Ensure that process owners timeously attend to process feedback as reported on in the Promapp system.
Ensure functional resources are adequately trained on understanding of processes and the utilization of systems
Ensure that standard reports and dashboards are linked to processes, and that ongoing training us undertaken on the utilization of these reports.
Support markets to glean insites from such reporting to identify risk and areas for performance improvement
Support the markets in developing initiatives to improve performance and mitigate risk
