Conditional three year contract posts
SALARY : R358 581 – 380 592 pa (total all inclusive package to be structured in
accordance with the rules of OSD Model)
CENTRE : DOHNE

REQUIREMENTS :

An appropriate qualification at NQF level 6 with Entomology or equivalent Plant Protection as a major

● Proof of registration with the SACNASP as a candidate Natural Scientist is compulsory upon appointment

● exposure in programme and project management

● Knowledge of Scientific methodologies and models

●Broad knowledge of norms and standards dealing with natural agricultural resources

● Ability to analyze data

● Ability to operate computer-aided scientific applications

● A valid driver’s license (Code EB). Candidates will be subjected to a competency assessment

 

DUTIES : The incumbent will assist in the implementation of policy and regulatory and administrative frameworks for the collection, and preservation of data, information and knowledge required for the planning, management and sustainable use of natural agricultural resources

● Perform scientific functions with basic tasks that require some interpretation in the presence of an established framework

●Apply appropriate scientific techniques and procedures; and compile report

●Participate in the prescribed mentoring programme of the department.
