REQUIREMENTS :

An appropriate qualification at NQF level 6 with Plant Pathology as a major ●
Proof of registration with SACNASP as a candidate Natural Scientist is
compulsory upon appointment ● Knowledge of Scientific methodologies in
research ● Broad knowledge of norms and standards dealing with natural
agricultural resources ● Ability to analyze data ● Ability to operate computeraided
scientific applications ● A valid driver’s license (Code EB). Candidates will
be subjected to a competency assessment.

 

DUTIES :

The incumbent will assist in the implementation of policy and regulatory and administrative frameworks for the collection, and preservation of data, information and knowledge required for the planning, management and sustainable use of natural agricultural resources

● Perform scientific functions with basic tasks that require some interpretation in the presence of an established framework

● Apply appropriate scientific techniques and procedures; and compile report

●Participate in the prescribed mentoring programme of the department.

 

SALARY : R358 581 – 380 592 pa (total all inclusive package to be structured in
accordance with the rules of OSD Model)
