Winelands based financial services concern requires a Technical Architect to look after a domain. The incumbent must be willing to delve into detail. This role involves the definition, design, implementation, and adoption of the platform design and architecture. Ensuring that all technologies work effectively together and deliver an end-to-end integrated system. The position requires a background in service-oriented architecture, secure application development, and cloud technologies.

Job Title: Platform Architect

Minimum requirements

-Matric + Completed IT qualification
-Min 7 years design and development experience OR extensive experience in delivering and supporting platforms and frameworks for external clients
-In-depth understanding of core IT Infrastructure concepts: data centers, security, networking, storage, computer and software applications
-Experience & Knowledge: C# (.Net Core); Java (Spring Boot), JS (NodeJS); Kubernetes; KeyCloak, ELK, experience in continuous integration & delivery; building & designing applications & platforms; platform ownership deployment & support; experience in load & stress testing
-Advantageous: AWS, Terraform, CSS3, ES6, Consul, LinkerD, Experience in Linux administration, performance tuning and troubleshooting; in-depth understanding of all layers of infrastructure to fine tune settings; experience in capacity planning to determine the production capacity needs for the platform
