PPS Bursaries For 2014

The Professional Provident Society of South Africa is the largest multidisciplinary group of graduate professionals in the world with over 290 000 professional members. PPS is the only mutual financial services company in South Africa that has focused exclusively on graduate professionals for over 72 years.

Application Criteria and process

PPS bursaries are awarded on financial need and academic record to full time university students
To be eligible for the 2014 awards, the student must be registered at a participating South African University or University of Technology (listed below) registering for a fourth academic year of study or post-graduate degree and must be studying towards a profession, which on qualification, would be eligible for PPS membership
If you are a student in your 4th academic year of study at a University or University of Technology, studying towards one of the PPS eligible professions, you can join PPS
The student must be a citizen or permanent resident of South Africa
Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into
Application forms must be returned to the PPS Youth Market Specialist (listed below) with 4 supporting documents (listed below) via email or on campus
Recipients of the Bursary awards will be required to become PPS Student members at no additional cost

4 supporting documents to attach with your application form

Certified copies of all available examination results, including the most recent (June) or progress report
Declaration of own and/or family’s financial position (copy of affidavit)
Statements of student account confirming no outstanding fees for the current or previous years
Certified copy of ID / Passport

Notification of Award

Successful candidates will be informed in writing (email) by 28 February 2014.

Presentation of Award

The handover of the bursary will be presented by the dean and a PPS representative at the University in the beginning of 2014.
