Our client in the mining industry is seeking suitably qualified citizen candidate, who is highly adaptable and resilient, for the position of Technician Electrical.

Salary: P 101.00 – 102.00 Monthly
Location: Selebi Phikwe, Central, Botswana

Specification

To carry out planned preventative and breakdown maintenance to ensure optimal plant and equipment availability (fans, winders, compressors, etc)

Key Performance Areas
•Maintains equipment using appropriate maintenance technologies to ensure optimum equipment availability and reliability
•Participates in statutory level one audits and dynamic tests on winders alongside the contractor.
•Diagnoses and analyses any electrical equipment mal-operation and carries out repairs in order to maintain desired performance according to manufacturer’s specification and maintains equipment availability
•Prepares report on all tasks performed and spares used, and records statutory activities on the log book
•Oversees work of contractors and ensures compliance with Company rules and procedures for undertaking specific work to be performed
•Undertakes mini-risk assessment using a prescribed checklist, and takes necessary remedial action

Requirements
•Diploma in electrical and Electronics engineering
•3-4 years post qualification experience working on a High Voltage equipment.
•Valid Driver’s licence
