REF NO: 000515 Directorate: Sedibeng District Health Services SALARY : R433 029 per annum (plus benefits)
CENTRE : (Bophelong, Market Avenue, Zone 3, Zone 13, Beverly Hills, Evaton Main, Albertina Sisulu, Mpumelelo, Kookrus, & Rensburg Clinic) REQUIREMENTS : A basic R425 qualification (i.e. Diploma/ Degree) in nursing or equivalent qualification that allows registration with SANC as a professional nurse. Registration with SANC as a professional nurse and proof of current registration. A post basic qualification, with duration of at least one year accreditation with the SANC in one of the specialties (Primary Health Care) referred to in the glossary of terms.
A minimum of 9 (nine) years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as a professional nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. At least 5 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/recognizable experience in the specific specialty after obtaining the one year post basic qualification in Primary Health Care.
A degree and or diploma in Nursing Management\ Administration will be a added advantage. A valid code 08/10/driver’s license is essential. Excellent time management, organizational skills, communication skills, good listening skills, people management skills, Presentation and team work skills, self-motivated and goal orientated, analytical and solution orientated, ability to thrive well under pressure, ability to efficiently communication to technical and nontechnical personnel at various levels in the organization.
DUTIES : Supervise and ensure the provision of effective and efficient patient care. Ensure clinical nursing practice by the nursing team in accreditation with the scope of practice and nursing standards as determined by the Department of Health. Maintain good interpersonal relationship with nurses and other stakeholders (i.e. inter-personal, Interscope and multi-disciplinary) team.
Promote quality of nursing care as directed by the professional growth/ethical standards and selfdevelopment. Sign performance contract on annual basis. Take part in the Gauteng Turnaround strategy, PHC Reengineering, Strength of National core standards and ideal clinic.
