Job Summary:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Job Description:
Oversight responsibility for the warehouse operations together with the logistical arrangements required for international and local procurement of materials required for the operations.
Responsible to maintain a reliable, up to date and accurate inventory recording for the company for all inventory stored in the Warehouse and applicable locations.
Must create and implement appropriate systems, processes and procedures in procurement, inventory and warehouse management and maintain a full traceable administrative system capable of recording and filing all records and data for tasks completed.
Work closely with internal customers as well as suppliers to be a reliable customer service point.
Train and mentor the warehouse team to ensure compliance with all processes, procedures and policies and ensure the security and integrity of the warehouse functions are always met.
Work with relevant stakeholders to prepare material requirement plans (i.e. demand forecasting) for the year, in line with approved budget, and ensure that there is always stock available to execute projects as planned.
Weekly meetings, with the warehouse team, will be required for progress update.
Implement efficiencies year-on-year for effective inventory management and to satisfy business needs.
Desired Experience & Qualification

Supply Chain qualification:
Ideal candidate is a Project accountant with Inventory experience. Understand and execute the end to end Supply end process. Financial understanding and application. 8 to 10 years supply chain experience Demand Planning Specialist who has experience with warehouse optimization, logistics and understands the basic of Inventory accounting. Must have good knowledge about customs clearing procedures at the South Africa Ports and conversant with current trends in the maritime industry. Must be conversant with the current INCOTERMS and always negotiate the best deals for the Company with the Freight Forwarder and Clearing Agent when applicable. Ability to identify key contacts for follow up; excellent ability to communicate status updates to team and cross-functionally to ensure understanding. Demonstrated computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle. Strong relationship-development skills resulting in long term mutually beneficial client relationships.
