We are currently looking for a Project Manager to support the business in achieving its strategic objectives.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the management of all facets of projects including time, budget, quality and risk, both internal and external. Project management will be required throughout the complete project life cycle from tender phase through inception, definition, build, deployment to transition phase.
What we expect you to do
Project scope management: Ensure correct brief is received from Sales/Solutions Architects
Facilitate Project Scoping Workshops: The purpose of the workshop is to detail the scope of work in the project, to assign tasks and produce the necessary documentation to commence a project.
Create and all relevant project management documentation
Control a project in terms of aims, goals and objective of the sponsor
Project time management: Create and update Project Plan/Rollout Schedule
Control project costs
Project Quality management
Project Communication management: This includes regular meetings with the customer where required, ensuring minutes of meetings are sent, escalation procedures are followed, reporting to management, general liaison with customer project team , and all other project stakeholders.
Project Resource Management: The above includes human and physical resources
Project Risk management
Project Integration: The Project Manager is the integrating link between all project stakeholders and activities
Project Closure: The Project Manager provides for acceptance of the project by the project sponsor, completion of various project records, final revision and issue of documentation to reflect the “as-built” condition and the retention of essential project documentation. Project closure also includes hand-over to Operations where applicable.
Here’s what we are looking for in candidates for this job:
Applicants MUST have a formal qualification in Project Management obtained within the last 5 years. A PMP certification would be of an advantage
Telecoms industry experience preferable
5 years’ experience in project management including a track record of successful management of multiple, diverse, multi-disciplinary projects.
An in depth understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
A good understanding of project financial models and the associated actual versus budget measurement.
Proficient in MS Office suite including MS Projects
Client interface at all levels and people management.
