PROJECT OFFICER REF NO: SMS 23/2014
Department of Transport and Public Works, Cape Town

SALARY : All-inclusive salary package of R 819 126 per annum (Level 13). Note: The
remuneration package consists of a basic salary (70%) and the employer’s
contribution to the Pension Fund. The remainder of the package may be
structured according to your personal needs.

CENTRE : Provincial Public Private Partnerships Unit, Cape Town

REQUIREMENTS : Relevant recognised 3-year tertiary qualification (B-Degree/National Diploma);
Minimum of 6 years relevant management experience; A valid driver’s licence.
Recommendations: Minimum of 1 year PPP experience; Extensive experience in
project management and contract administration, contract compliance monitoring
and service level agreements; Appropriate work experience in human settlement
development and human settlement administration. Competencies: Extensive
knowledge of applicable policies and procedures; Strategic leadership
capabilities and strategic planning skills; Project Management skills as well as
the ability to solve problems and conflict situations; Ability to communicate at all
levels and across sectors utilising various media, stakeholder engagement and to
build and maintain working partnerships across all sectors.

 

DUTIES : Strategic management, leadership and change management; Responsible for
project and programme management; Ensure efficient and effective oversight
and management for all financial resources/aspects of the Directorate as well as
all performance requirements as related to the PFMA and corporate governance;
Management of the human resources of the Directorate to achieve the
predetermined performance indicators and service delivery imperatives as well
as sound labour relations.
